STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford gymnast Dennis Zaremski was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
Zaremski claimed three individual titles during two meets on opening week, two on rings and one on parallel bars. Zaremski put up a season-best on rings (15.850) and parallel bars (15.050) in the second meet on January 16 against No. 7 Cal and No. 20 SC United to lead Stanford to its third win of the season.
The award is the first career honor for Zaremski, who will look to help No. 2 Stanford continue their momentum this Sunday as they travel to face No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Cal at noon in Berkeley, Calif.
