STANFORD, Calif. – No. 14 Stanford takes to its home pitch again Sunday as it sets to host No. 16 Ohio State. Game time is set for noon at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
The Cardinal (1-1) is rolling off a 20-1 win Tuesday night against MPSF opponent Saint Mary’s. On the night Stanford saw 13 different Cardinal score while adding six assists and outshooting the Gaels 28-2 on the night.
The Cardinal’s opponent, No. 16 Ohio State (1-0) travels into the Bay Area ready to take on the Cal Golden Bears on Friday at 2 p.m. before heading to the Farm for Sunday’s match-up. In their home opener the Buckeyes topped Detroit 22-8 last Saturday with Molly Wood netting five goals to lead OSU.
Last year the Cardinal traveled to Columbus, Ohio where it topped the Buckeyes 12-10. In Coach Amy Bokker’s tenure, Stanford has posted a 5-1 record while holding onto a three game winning streak headed into Sunday’s game.
