STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Anna Salemo has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, as announced today by the conference.
Salemo, a native of Littleton, Colo. led the Cardinal to home wins last week against Saint Mary’s (20-1) and then-No. 16 Ohio State (18-7). The attacker accumulated nine points on six goals and three assists on the week. She scored four goals and dished two assists in Stanford’s 18-7 win over the Buckeyes.
The honor is the career first for Salemo, who has helped lead the Cardinal to a 2-1 record to start the 2016 season.
No. 14 Stanford continues its home stand this week as it sets to host Harvard. Game time is set for noon at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
