Softblog: Spring Break Adventures

Happy Spring Stanford Softball Fans!!

The team has been enjoying a blissful few days without any schoolwork to worry about. It’s been a fun time to go on mini adventures around Stanford and the Bay Area.

Bert enjoyed a nice trip to the San Francisco Zoo where she met a new friend.

Ky found time to give me some lessons at the driving range. Let’s just say I’m a work in progress …

Some of our girls ventured to Half Moon Bay to get off of campus and watch the sunset.

We even tried to get a little artsy with our sand art.

Ky and Bessie took on the challenge of baking cookies in the dorm kitchenette, not the easiest task …

But here’s the finished product with some milk to go with them. Quite delicious I must say.

Whit and Frosty hit the jackpot at the arcade with these wardrobe essentials.

Plaza showed the underclassmen how it’s done and took first place in their go-cart competition.

It has been fun to be on campus and have time to go support our other athletes. We have seen some good women’s basketball and baseball games this week. Congrats to women’s basketball for making it to the Sweet 16 with their victory Monday night!

Now it’s off to Oregon for our first Pac-12 weekend! Make sure to watch us this weekend in Eugene as we take on the Ducks in the first games in their new stadium.

The spring break adventures will continue as we embark on a 12-hour bus ride to Eugene. Stay tuned for next week to get an update on how Stanford softball survives 24 hours on a bus together.

Until next time,
