Murray Honored by MPSF

STANFORD, Calif. – Junior Kelsey Murray has been named the Mountain Sports Federation Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the conference.

Murray, a native of Wilmette, Ill. went on a tear last week, compiling a .941 shots on goal percentage while scoring 12 goals and adding six assists on the week in addition to her four ground balls.

Against Cal, Murray scored five goals and added two assists in the Cardinal’s win over the Bears before adding three more goals and two assists in Stanford’s win over Fresno State. Murray capped off the weekend with four goals and two assists in Stanford’s victory over UC Davis.

The honor is the second of Murray’s career, and first this season.

No. 9 Stanford concludes its MPSF regular-season this week as it sets to travel to USC and San Diego State. The Cardinal will face the Women of Troy on Friday at 4 p.m. PT in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The game will be aired live on Pac-12 Networks.
