STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford won the 2016 US Open of Water Polo on Sunday with a 15-3 victory over SOCAL at the Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif.
The top-seeded Cardinal went a perfect 7-0 at the three-day, 16-team event, which featured many of the top USA Water Polo club teams in the country, and outscored its opponents 92-15. All-American Jamie Neushul was awarded the tournament's Most Valuable Player honors.
