ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – Freshman Stanford women's rowers Emily Delleman and India Robinson each medaled at the World Rowing Junior Championships.
Delleman stroked the United States Women's Double Sculls to a gold medal in Sunday's A Final, capturing the first gold medal for a U.S. boat in the class. Delleman, a native of Davenport, Iowa, guided the U.S. entry down the course in 7:08.12 to win the race by more than two seconds over second-place Greece (7:10.55) and third place Italy (7:10.78).
Robinson, from Berkeley, California, stroked the United States Women's Four to a bronze medal in Sunday's A Final. The boat finished third in a time of 6:47.60, behind first-place Germany (6:42.17) and second-place Italy (6:43.15).
