STANFORD, Calif. – No. 22 Stanford travels south for a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day matchup against No. 15 Georgia at 11 a.m. (PT).
The Cardinal (3-1, 0-1) is coming off a second-place finish at the season-opening NorCal Classic at San Jose State. Sophomore Elizabeth Price paced Stanford with first-place finishes in every event and claimed the all-around title. She was named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week.
Georgia opened the season this past weekend at Michigan, dropping a 196.925-195.200 decision. The Bulldogs will travel to Arkansas on Friday before returning home to play host to the Cardinal on Monday.
Stanford at the NorCal Classic
• Stanford gained steam throughout the NorCal classic and finished on a high note with a meet-best performance on bars to earn a 49.150. Four-of-five Cardinal gymnasts earned top-three finishes in the event.
Price Shines in Season Opener
• Price earned individual victories on vault (9.850), bars (9.900), beam (9.850), floor (9.900) and the all-around (39.500) at the NorCal Classic. She was named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week for her performance.

Price has scored 9.900 or higher in 23-of-29 performances during her collegiate career.
Consistency from McNair
• Nicolette McNair earned top-three finishes in each of her three events. She finished second on bars (9.875) and tied for third on vault (9.800) and beam (9.800). McNair has hit 74-of-80 routines (93 percent) on those three events in her career.

Contributions Across the Board
• Taylor Rice and Ivana Hong tied for third on bars with scores of 9.850. Rice also competed in the all-around and finished third.
• Melissa Chuang returned to the lineup after missing the 2014 season due to injury. She competed on vault (9.500) and beam (9.775) and expects to add difficulty to her routines as the season continues.
• Three Stanford gymnasts made their collegiate debuts at the NorCal Classic. Taryn Fitzgerald competed on vault and floor, Dare Maxwell competed on bars, and Nicole Hoffman completed on floor.
Same Name, Different Team
• Georgia sophomore Natalie Vaculik is the younger sister of recent Stanford graduate Kristina Vaculik. The elder Vaculik was a three-time All-American, 2014 All-Pac-12 first team selection in the all-around and earned an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship during her time with the Cardinal.
Monday’s Opponent: No. 15 Georgia
• Georgia dropped its season-opener at No. 7 Michigan 196.925-195.200. Three gymnasts combined for five top-three finishes.
• Stanford defeated the Bulldogs in the most recent matchup at the 2015 NCAA Championships Semifinals, 197.175-196.600.
• The Bulldogs were led by freshman Sydney Snead who tied for first on bars (9.900) and tied for second on vault (9.875). Brittany Rogers also had a strong showing with third-place finishes on bars (9.875) and beam (9.800).
• This will be the first of two scheduled meetings between Stanford and Georgia. The programs are slated to meet again in the Cardinal’s final regular season meet at UCLA on March 6.
