STANFORD, Calif. – No. 12 Stanford will compete against some of the nation’s best teams this Saturday at 5 p.m. (PT) when it travels to the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Cardinal (6-1, 1-1 Pac-12) will take on second-ranked Oklahoma (5-1), No. 6 LSU (3-0, 1-0 SEC), No. 16 Missouri (3-1, 1-1 SEC) and Pac-12 foe Washington (1-2, 1-0 Pac-12). The meet will be streamed by FloGymnastics and can be viewed for a fee.

Stanford is coming off a season-best performance in its home-opener against No. 23 California and San Jose State, placing first with a 196.675. The Cardinal utilized balanced lineups to score season highs of 49.050 or higher in all four events.

Stanford gymnasts tallied scores of 9.800 or higher in 18-of-24 performances and counted at least four scores of 9.800 or higher in each event.

Three in a Row
 Elizabeth Price continued her hot start to the year, winning the all-around for the third consecutive week with a season-best 39.550. She earned individual victories in vault (9.925) and bars (9.925), finished third on floor (9.875) and tied for fifth on beam (9.825).

 Price was named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week for the third straight week for her season-best performance.

 Price has scored 9.825 or higher in 11-of-12 performances this season and 9.900 or higher in 26-of-37 performances during her collegiate career. She has registered nine individual event victories in 15 possible events this season.

Price scored a season-best 39.550 in the all-around.

Hong Providing Leadership
 Ivana Hong has been a leader in and out of the gym throughout her career and has continued her role in her final season. She provided two clutch routines this past weekend, scoring a meet-best 9.925 on beam and a 9.800 on bars.

 Hong’s performance on beam came immediately after the gymnast before her fell twice. Not only did she get Stanford back on track with a quality routine, she posted the highest score of any gymnast at the competition.

Hong delivered a meet-best 9.925 on beam.

Consistency from McNair
 Nicolette McNair continues to be one of Stanford’s most consistent gymnasts, hitting all three of her events including a second-place result on bars (9.875), a 9.825 on beam and a 9.800 on vault. She has scored 9.800 or higher in eight-of-nine routines this season.

 McNair has hit 80-of-86 routines (93 percent) on vault, bars and beam in her career.

A Welcome Return
 Melissa Chuang missed the 2015 season due to injury but has made immediate contributions in 2016. She finished second on beam (9.875) and tied for fourth on floor (9.825) this past weekend against No. 23 California and San Jose State.

 At Georgia (Jan. 18), Chuang provided the decisive performance on beam with a 9.900 to earn the victory for the Cardinal. She also contributed scores on vault and floor.

Consistency Counts
 Danielle McNair continues to contribute scores on a weekly basis, including a 9.800 on vault and a 9.775 on bars this past weekend. She has scored 9.700 or higher in all five performances this season.

A Fresh Start
 Freshman Taryn Fitzgerald produced season-best performances on vault (9.800), beam (9.800) and floor (9.725) this past weekend.

 Fitzgerald competed in three events at Georgia and made significant contributions. She produced a 9.725 on floor and contributed a 9.775 on beam to help spark a strong finish by the Cardinal in the event.

Doing It All
 Taylor Rice was Stanford’s primary all-around competitor a year ago and has picked up where she left off. The 2015 Pac-12 First Team selection in the all-around placed second at Georgia (39.200) and earned a third-place result on beam (9.850).

 Rice has competed in the all-around in 13 of the past 17 meets, dating back to the 2015 season opener.

Saturday’s Opponents: No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 6 LSU, No. 16 Missouri, Washington
 Oklahoma posted a 197.475 this past weekend to earn a first-place finish against Iowa State and Arizona State. Stanford most recently saw the Sooners at last year’s Super Six, with Oklahoma outscoring the Cardinal, 197.525-197.250.

 LSU defeated No. 20 Kentucky 196.575-195.100 this past weekend at home. The Tigers have scored 195.825 or higher in all three meets this season. The previous meeting between Stanford and LSU was at the 2014 NCAA Semifinals, with the Tigers edging the Cardinal for third place, 197.100-196.600.

 Missouri earned a 195.800-195.350 victory at home against Georgia this past weekend. This will be the fourth meeting all-time between Stanford and Missouri with the Cardinal earning a 196.300-194.600 win in the most recent meeting at the 2010 NCAA Semifinals.

 Washington is coming off a 195.650-194.300 defeat at Denver this past weekend. The Huskies are 1-0 against Pac-12 opponents, defeating Arizona State earlier in the season, 194.650-192.450.
