Stanford to Host Play Day

STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford will play host to an informal five-team tournament on Sunday that will offer fans a preview of the NorCal portion of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's lacrosse.

The Stanford Play Day includes California, Oregon, Saint Mary's, and UC Davis, in addition to the Cardinal. Play begins on two fields at 8:30 a.m. Each team will play four 50-minute games with a running clock.

Field One is the grass practice field on the El Camino Real side of Laird Q. Cagan Stadium. Field Two is the artificial turf field next to the Steuber Family Rugby Stadium. The fields are about 200 yards apart.

The five teams make up half of the 10-team MPSF. The Cardinal (15-3 last season overall) return a potent line-up from the 2015 MPSF championship team.
