#StanfordNFL: Week 6 Preview

Players to Watch

Kevin Hogan • QB • Cleveland Browns • First season • @khoagie8
After spending five weeks on Cleveland's practice squad, Hogan was signed to the Browns' 53-man roster ahead of Week 6. Stanford's all-time winningest quarterback was selected in the fifth round last spring by Kansas City before being released shortly before the start of the regular season. The 0-5 Browns travel to face Tennessee on Sunday.

Joshua Garnett • G • San Francisco 49ers • First season • @IamJoshG
Garnett saw his first offensive playing time in the NFL last week, subbing in for Andrew Tiller at right guard for the San Francisco's final 18 snaps. Head coach Chip Kelly sees consistent improvement from Garnett, who is expected to start at right guard at Buffalo on Sunday, according to Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News.

Andrus Peat • T/G • New Orleans Saints • Second season • @AndrusPeat
Peat filled in nicely for starting left tackle Terron Armstead after starting the season at guard, and figures to contribute all season across the New Orleans offensive line. Saints' offensive line coach Dan Roushar has praised the soft-spoken Peat for his improving confidence level and communication.

Matchups to WatchDavid DeCastro vs. Miami Run Defense
DeCastro, Pro Football Focus' fourth-rated run-blocking guard, will likely see a heavy dose of All-Pro Ndamukong Suh. However, the Miami defense has been gashed for a league-high 754 rushing yards (150.8 per game) in 2016.

Atlanta at Seattle
Coming off of a huge win at Denver in Week 5, Atlanta faces another test when it travels to face Richard Sherman and the stout Seattle defense. Austin Hooper and Levine Toilolo have helped contribute to the Falcons' top-rated offense, but Sherman and the Seahawks are allowing a mere 13.5 points per game. Sherman is expected to shadow All-Pro wideout Julio Jones, while Doug Baldwin will face a defense which ranks 26th in passing yards allowed.

Philadelphia at Washington
Zach Ertz and the Eagles travel to face Trent Murphy and the Redskins, who have won three in a row thanks in large part to Murphy's tremendous form. Expect Ertz and Murphy, who won the 2011 Fiesta Bowl and the 2013 Rose Bowl as teammates at Stanford, to come face-to-face several times on Sunday.
