KONA, Hawaii – The third-ranked Stanford women's golf team surged into the lead after two rounds of the inaugural Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club.

The 12-team field, which includes 11 Pac-12 schools and Hawaii, played 36 holes Monday.

The Cardinal recorded scores of 294-298 on the hilly, par-73 layout above the Pacific Ocean and has a two-round total of 8-over 592.

Stanford was third after the morning 18, but picked up 10 strokes on Arizona in the afternoon, sharing the low team total with Arizona State. The Sun Devils and Wildcats are tied for second at 10-over 594.

Stanford was led by senior Casey Danielson, who equaled her career-low in the morning by shooting a 5-under 68. She tallied six birdies and only one bogey and is fourth individually at 2-under 144.

Freshman Albane Valenzuela is tied for sixth at even-par 146. She sparkled in the afternoon with a 1-under 72 and played the last 12 holes in 1-under. Valenzuela produced nine-straight pars on the front nine.

Senior Jisoo Keel and freshman Andrea Lee are tied for 21st at 5-over 151. Each carded five birdies during the day.

Senior Quirine Eijkenboom shot 80 in the morning but did not play in the afternoon.

Playing as individuals, junior Shannon Aubert is 12th at 2-over 148 and junior Calli Ringsby is tied for 53rd. Aubert fashioned five birdies in the morning round.
