Players to Watch

Andrew Luck • QB • Indianapolis Colts • Fifth season • @ALBookClub
Don't be fooled by Indianapolis' 3-4 record -- Andrew Luck is having a career year. Despite facing a league-high 118 pressures on the season, Luck's +18.6 overall grade and +15.3 pass grade sit atop the league, according to Pro Football Focus. Luck looks to build off of his Week 7 performance in Tennessee, which included 353 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Kevin Hogan • QB • Cleveland Browns • First Season • @KHoagie8
After his substitute appearance against Cincinnati on Sunday, Hogan was listed atop the Browns depth chart at quarterback for Week 8. Quarterbacks Josh McCown and Cody Kessler, who are both recovering from injury, may still start ahead of Hogan, but the Browns showed their intent to use Hogan regardless of who starts under center -- prior to Kessler exiting Sunday's loss with a shoulder injury, Hogan had already carried the ball three times for 37 yards. With just 44 snaps under his belt, Hogan's 104 rushing yards are the ninth-most rushing yards among NFL quarterbacks this season.

Johnson Bademosi • CB/ST • Detroit Lions • Fifth season • @J_Bademosi24
Bademosi played 70 percent of defensive snaps at cornerback after Darius Slay went down with a hamstring injury on Sunday. With Slay likely sidelined for Sunday's trip to Houston, the Lions are preparing to use Bademosi in a starting role at cornerback.

Matchups to WatchPackers at Falcons
One week after snatching his first NFL interception, Blake Martinez and the Green Bay Packers travel to Atlanta for Week 8. Martinez will line up across from tight ends Austin Hooper and Levine Toilolo, who are integral parts of the Falcons' run game and play-action schemes. Second-year receiver Ty Montgomery also expects to see heavy touches after his breakout performance against Chicago in Week 7.

Seahawks at Saints
Coby Fleener and Richard Sherman, who won 25 games as teammates at Stanford over three seasons, will come face-to-face on Sunday's matchup in New Orleans. According to Pro Football Focus, Seattle ranks second in the league with a +21.5 pass coverage grade while New Orleans' +11.3 passing grade ranks third.Injury ReportHenry Anderson was absent from practice on Thursday while he recovers from a knee injury sustained in Week 6. Andrus Peat returned to practice on Wednesday but was limited after sustaining a groin injury in Week 6 and missing Week 7.
