National Honor for Sullivan

STANFORD, Calif. – Andi Sullivan was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the organization.

Sullivan, a MAC Hermann Trophy candidate, was named the nation's best player this week after leading Stanford with nine points over two games at Arizona and Arizona State. The junior midfielder scored twice in both games, including the game-winning goal in each contest.

It was an impressive showing in Sullivan's first games back since being called into the senior U.S. Women's National Team training camp and starting for the team in two games against Switzerland two weeks ago.

Sullivan leads all Stanford players and has set single-season career-highs in points (26) and goals (10). Her 10 goals are double her season-total from last year and she has contributed a career-best six assists.

Sullivan leads the Pac-12 in points per game (1.69), tied for third in goals (10) and in assists (6), and fifth in goals per game (0.62). She was an NSCAA first-team All-American and a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist in 2015. Sullivan is a two-time first–team All-Pac-12 selection.

Sullivan and the Cardinal will conclude their regular season and pursue the program's 11th Pac-12 title Friday at 3 p.m. (PT) at California.
