STANFORD, Calif. - Twenty-four Cardinal student-athletes were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Stanford's 24 honorees led all Pac-12 schools. Washington and Oregon State were second with 15 representatives apiece.
Christian McCaffrey (communication), Nick Wilson (undeclared), Harrison Phillips (sociology and science, technology and society), Casey Toohill (undeclared), Frank Buncom (undeclared) and Dallas Lloyd (communication) were first-team recipients.
Jesse Burkett (Japanese), Johnny Caspers (earth systems), Solomon Thomas (communication), Dylan Jackson (political science) and Sean Barton (undeclared) earned second-team accolades.
Thirteen more Cardinal -- JJ Arcega-Whiteside, David Bright, Ryan Burns, Keller Chryst, Noor Davis, Alijah Holder, Trenton Irwin, Alameen Murphy, Kevin Palma, Justin Reid, Mike Tyler, Conrad Ukropina and Jordan Watkins -- garnered honorable mention.
To be eligible for selection to the Pac-12 All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's games, with exceptions made due to injury.
Stanford won its last five games and finished the season 9-3 overall. A bowl invitation will extend its school record to eight straight postseason appearances. The Cardinal will find out its bowl destination on Dec. 4.
