Pac-12 All-Academic Teams Opens in a new window

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford's Michelle Xiao earned first-team recognition and was among 10 Cardinal players to earn Pac-12 All-Academic honors, as announced Monday by the conference.

Xiao boasts a 4.04 GPA and plans to declare as a biomechanical engineering major at the end of the spring quarter. It is the first conference all-academic honor for Xiao. She excelled on the field as well, tying for second among Stanford players with seven goals and two game-winning goals.

Joining Xiao on the all-academic team are honorable mentions Maddie Bauer, Kyra Carusa, Averie Collins, Alana Cook, Jordan DiBiasi, Tegan McGrady, Andi Sullivan, Megan Turner and Ryan Walker-Hartshorn.

Bauer was named the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's soccer last week, becoming the sixth player in Stanford history to receive the honor.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's games.
