Swimmer of the Month

STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman Katie Ledecky set two American records and three NCAA records in November to earn Pac-12 Swimmer of the Month honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

Ledecky broke her own marks on several occasions during the month. She twice set the NCAA record in the 500-yard freestyle at the Ohio State Invitational en route to the American standard (4:33.94). She also set the NCAA mark in the 1000 free in a dual meet win over Texas on Nov. 12, and then bested that time with a split of 9:08.99 during her American-record finish in the 1,650 free (15:03.92) at the OSU Invite.

The Cardinal wrapped up the Fall ranked No. 1 in the nation, and will next compete at Arizona State on Friday, Jan. 20. Stanford returns to The Farm for its final two meets of the year at Avery Aquatic Center on Jan. 27 against UCLA (2 p.m.)and Jan. 28 versus USC (noon). Admission is free to all Stanford home meets.
