SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Stanford women’s golf team stands in sixth place after two rounds of the 16-team Bruin Wave Invitational co-hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine at San Luis Obispo Country Club.
Two rounds were played Monday on the 6,250-yard course. With three players residing in the top 20, the Cardinal has a 36-hole score of 20-over 596 (291-305). UCLA leads at even-par 576.
Sophomore Shannon Aubert recorded rounds of 1-over 73 and 72 and is tied for ninth individually at 1-over 145. Senior Mariah Stackhouse (70-77) is tied for 15th at 3-over 147 and senior Lauren Kim (69-79) is tied for 17th at 6-over 148.
Junior Quirine Eijkenboom (81-77) is tied for 58th at 158, while junior Casey Danielson (79-82) is tied for 73rd at 161.
Lilia Vu of UCLA is the medalist frontrunner with a score of 3-under 141.
The final round will be played Tuesday.
