Clemson Match Rained Out

STANFORD, Calif. - Sunday’s match between No. 17 Stanford and No. 21 Clemson was cancelled due to rain.

Three separate rain delays halted the completion of doubles play, which began at 12 p.m. At the final stopping point, Stanford was leading 5-3 at the No. 1 spot but trailing 5-4 at No. 2 and 4-3 at No. 3.

The match was called five hours later.

Stanford (7-3, 2-1 Pac-12) next hosts No. 5 Pepperdine on Monday, March 21, and the match has been moved up two hours to 12 p.m. with rain expected in the forecast.

Later in the week, the Cardinal welcomes Colorado (Friday, March 25 at 1:30 p.m.) and Utah (Saturday, March 26 at 12 p.m.).
