STANFORD, Calif. – Four Stanford gymnasts earned All-Pac-12 honors, including two on the first team, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
The Cardinal was well-represented with Elizabeth Price (all-around) and Melissa Chuang (beam) named to the first team, and Taylor Rice (all-around) and Ivana Hong (beam) earning second team honors.
It is the fourth all-conference honor for Hong, second for Rice and Price, and the first for Chuang.
Price became the second Cardinal gymnast to earn Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year honors in program history this season. She continued to establish herself as one of the nation’s elite gymnasts this season and won the all-around in seven of the eight meets she competed in during the regular season. Price is tied for fifth in the nation in the all-around with an RQS of 39.570.

Chuang tied for fifth on beam with a 9.925 at the Pac-12 Championships. She has hit all nine of her beam routines this season and scored 9.825 in seven-of-10 performances. Chuang missed the 2015 season due to injury but has returned in a big way, regularly contributing scores on vault, beam and floor.
It is the second All-Pac-12 honor for Rice in the all-around after being named to the first team a year ago. She competed in the all-around in eight-of-10 meets this year and has competed in 154 events throughout her career – the most of any current Stanford gymnast. Rice tied for fourth on bars with a 9.875 at the Pac-12 Championships.
Hong continues to add honors to her illustrious career, picking up her fourth All-Pac-12 honor and second award on beam. She was a first-team selection on bars in 2015 and claimed second-team recognition on vault in 2012. Hong earned three individual event victories on beam in 2015.
The quartet and Stanford will head to the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional on April 2 to pursue a spot at the NCAA Championships.
