STANFORD, Calif. - Three Cardinal were named Baseball America Preseason All-Americans on Monday morning. Junior Colton Hock was a first-team reliever, sophomore Tristan Beck was a second-team starter and junior Quinn Brodey was a third-team outfielder.

Earlier this winter, Hock and Brodey were named Top 100 prospects by Perfect Game (No. 7 and No. 54 ,respectively), D1Baseball.com (No. 12 and 51), and Baseball America (No. 13 and 78). Hock was also No. 18 on MLB.com's Top 50 list.

Beck has earned several preseason other preseason All-America accolades, including first-team recognition from Perfect Game, second-team honors from College Sports Madness and third-team accolades from Collegiate Baseball News.  Beck was also ranked among the Top 100 College Prospects by Baseball America (No. 6), Perfect Game (No. 7) and MLB.com (No. 13), D1Baseball.com (No. 10).

Last season, Beck was named first-team All-Pac-12, led Stanford starters in ERA (2.48) and strikeouts (76), and was top 10 in the Pac-12 in each category. Hock was honorable mention All-Pac-12 last year as he led Stanford with six saves and a 2.03 ERA, while Brodey was also a conference honorable mention selection and led the team in home runs (7), RBI (41) and tied for the team lead in hits (61).

As a team, Stanford was ranked in all four preseason Top 25 polls this season. Eleven freshmen will join Beck, Hock, Brodey and a Stanford squad that returns nearly its entire starting lineup, all of its starting pitching and the majority of its bullpen. Last season on The Farm, the Cardinal finished 31-23 overall -- the 38th winning season in 40 years under Coach Marquess -- and 15-15 in conference play (t-6th in Pac-12).
