LOS ANGELES - Jordan McLaughlin scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures, pacing No. 25 USC to a 72-56 victory over short-handed Stanford on Thursday night at the Galen Center.
Playing without leading scorer and rebounder Reid Travis (right shoulder injury), the Cardinal shot 36.4 percent overall and was victimized by 21 turnovers.
Stanford (8-7, 0-3 Pac-12) received 13 points apiece from Marcus Allen and Dorian Pickens. Josh Sharma hauled down a career-best seven rebounds to go along with eight points off the bench.
USC (15-1, 2-1 Pac-12) led 36-28 at intermission and won the second half by the same margin. The Trojans knocked down eight three-pointers, held a 38-32 rebounding edge and totaled 27 points off turnovers.
The Cardinal, which connected on 4-15 from long distance, dropped its third straight game and next faces No. 4 UCLA on Sunday in a 5 p.m. PT tip at Pauley Pavilion.
