STANFORD, Calif. – The 15th-ranked Cardinal remains on the road this week as it travels to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday. Game time is set for 2 p.m. PT and will be played at Ohio Stadium.

Last week, Stanford (2-2) fell in a close 12-8 loss to No. 10 Duke in Frisco, Texas at the Patriot Cup on Saturday before it answered with a resounding 22-5 win over MPSF opponent Saint Mary's on Tuesday.

Friday's game against the Buckeyes is the last road game before the Cardinal begins a string of home games against Michigan, William & Mary and UConn.

Scouting the Buckeyes:
OSU enters into the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record after topping Vermont and Cincinnati at home and traveling to Jacksonville where they defeated the Dolphins in a close 13-12 game.

The Buckeyes are led by freshman Liza Hernandez, who has scored 10 goals through the first three games for OSU.

The Buckeye defense has also played a key to their success as OSU is ranked 13th in the NCAA in ground balls per game and 22nd is turnovers per game.

All-time against the Buckeyes, Stanford is 9-4 and riding a four game winning streak headed into Friday's game. Amy Bokker has also been dominant against the Buckeyes - with Stanford she is 6-1 against OSU.

Last year the Buckeyes came to Cagan where the Cardinal dispatched them 18-7. Anna Salemo and Kelsey Murray both had four goals in the game while Allie DaCar posted four saves in the win.
