STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford's sailing team begins its spring schedule this weekend when it sends squads to opposite ends of the country to compete in the McIntyre Team Race in Redwood City, California, and the Charleston Women's Trophy in Charleston, South Carolina.

At the McIntyre Team Race, the Cardinal will be represented by skippers Will La Dow, Reinier Eenkema van Dijk, William Marshall and Jacob Rosenberg, and crews Kathryn Booker, Taylor Kirkpatrick, Cassie Obel, Kennedy Placek and J.P. Cannistraro.

Skippers Maeve White, Martina Sly and Mimi El-Khazindar, and crews Meg Gerli, Madeline Bubb, Haley Fox and Elena VandenBerg will travel to Charleston.

The following weekend, Stanford will compete at the Old Dominion Women's Trophy, followed by trips to the Navy Spring Women's Trophy and the Charleston Coed Championship on March 11-12.

On March 25-26, Stanford sends teams to the Friis Team Race in New London, Connecticut, the Duplin Women's Team Race in Boston and the South Championships in Long Beach, California.

The Cardinal closes its spring season with another three-regatta weekend April 15-16, competing in the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference Women's Championship in San Diego, the Navy Spring Championship in Annapolis, Maryland, and the Thompson Trophy in New London.

The Cardinal finished its fall season with its 12th consecutive Big Sail win against Cal. Prior to the Big Sail, Stanford claimed the PCCSC Women's Singlehanded, Men's Singlehanded, Fall Coed and Fall Women's championships.
