ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Despite posting its lowest team score of the year with a 417.550, the second-ranked Cardinal remained dominant as it took the crown and every team event title except floor and pommel horse in a tri-meet against No. 11 Michigan (407.300) and No. 3 Illinois (404.000).

First up on floor, the Cardinal (12-2, 4-1 MPSF) saw Akash Modi lead the way with a 13.900 to take third in the event. Stanford's 66.300 team score was the first time the Cardinal scored lower than a 70 in the event, leaving the door open for Michigan to take the team title with a 68.000.

The Cardinal struggled to composed itself for pommel horse next, though Akash Modi stepped up to tie Illinois's Brandon Ngai with a 14.800 for the event title. Robert Neff put up a 13.750 to take fifth while Andrew Misiolek helped round out the top-10 as he tied for ninth with a 13.050.

Stanford turned the page in the next event as Josiah Eng nailed a 15.050 on still rings to take his fourth ring title of the season. Akash Modi was behind him in third with a 14.750 while Jordan DeClerk (14.000) and Robert Neff (13.900) took fifth and sixth respectively. Stanford's 71.150 as a team was its second-best mark on the year, behind its 71.300 from the Stanford Open.

Vault saw Michigan's Emyre Cole and Anthony McCallum go 1-2 in the event standings, but the consistency of the Cardinal propelled Stanford past the Wolverines in the podium as Taylor Seaton (14.850), Akash Modi (14.650) and Grant Breckenridge (14.500) all took third through fifth place for a 71.900.

Parallel bars cemented the win for the Cardinal on the day as it dominated the top four finishes. Akash Modi took the event title with a 15.050 and was followed by Jordan DeClerk (14.150), Robert Neff (14.050) and David Jessen (14.000) all finishing back-to-back to claim the event title by more than four points over its nearest competitor, Michigan.

In a strong finish, the Cardinal saw Akash Modi claim a 14.550 to take second in high bar while Robert Neff and David Jessen tied for fifth in the event with matching 14.200. The Cardinal's 71.150 as a team marks its second-best score on the event behind its 73.650 against Oklahoma last week.

The Cardinal will take a brief hiatus from competition as it focuses on the postseason and its final home meet on April 1 against Cal. Meet time is set for 4 p.m. at Burnham Pavilion.
