STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford had strong showings in three regattas this past weekend, including a win at the Navy Spring Women's Trophy in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Cardinal sent squads to three competitions over the weekend after opening the spring season Feb. 25-26 with two top-three finishes. At the Navy Spring Women's, Stanford was led by sophomore All-American skipper Martina Sly and freshman crew Madeline Bubb, who dominated the B-fleet with 66 points in 12 races, well ahead of second place.

In the A-division, senior captain and skipper Maeve White guided the Cardinal to seventh place with junior Haley Fox and sophomore Meg Gerli serving as crews. Stanford finished the weekend with 177 points, five ahead of Coast Guard and six ahead of Yale for Stanford's first win of the spring.

At the St. Mary's Team Race Interconference in St. Mary's City, Maryland, Stanford finished sixth in a stacked field of 10 schools. The Cardinal completed the weekend at 3-6, with senior Reinier Eenkema van Dijk, junior All-American Will La Dow and sophomore William Marshall skippering. Freshman Taylor Kirkpatrick, sophomore All-American Kathryn Booker, senior All-American J.P. Cannistraro and sophomore Cassie Obel were Stanford's crews.

The Cardinal rounded out the weekend with a ninth-place finish at the Charleston Spring Coed Championship. Freshman Jacob Rosenberg skippered Stanford to seventh place in the A-division with junior Kennedy Placek and sophomore Olivia Gugliemini as crews. In the B-division, junior skipper Julia Lambert and junior crew Elena VandenBerg sailed all 17 races, finishing ninth.

This week, Stanford hosts Harvard for a week-long exhibition at the Stanford Boathouse in Redwood City, California. Stanford returns to c on March 25-26 when it travels to three more regattas – the Friis Team Race in New London, Connecticut, the Duplin Women's Team Race in Boston and the South Championship in Long Beach, California.
