Midseason Watch List

STANFORD, Calif. - Junior reliever Colton Hock was named to the Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List by National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) on Wednesday afternoon.

Hock is one of 40 players on the watch list for the annual award given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball. Hock is one of just 16 that was also on the preseason watch list.

This season, Hock is 5-1 with nine saves and a 2.23 ERA in 17 appearances and 32.1 innings for the Cardinal. He has already accumulated the fourth-most saves in a season in program history, and recently moved into second place on Stanford's career saves list with 18. Only two Cardinal have recorded double-digit saves in a season—Jeff Bruksch in 2000 (13) and Steve Chitren in 1987 (13) and 1988 (10).

Hock and the Cardinal (24-12, 8-7 Pac-12) take on No. 13 Arizona at Sunken Diamond, Thursday-Saturday.
