Highlights from Stanford's finale against No. 15/15 Utah.
LAST TIME OUT
• Stanford played No. 15 Utah tough in all three games this past weekend but dropped each decision. The Cardinal nearly completed a seventh-inning comeback in the opener but left the bases loaded in the seventh in an 8-6 defeat. Saturday's game got away from the Cardinal late, falling 11-4, and the Utes took the finale 6-2.
• Victoria Molina paced the Cardinal offensively, going 4-for-8 (.500) with a double, an RBI and a run over the three-game series. Kylie Sorenson produced a team-high three RBIs and two doubles throughout the weekend.
• Carolyn Lee (7-10) shouldered a majority of the work against the Utes, making starts in the first and third games, and racking up 13.1 innings of work. She threw her ninth complete game of the season in the series finale.
THE ARIZONA SERIES
• Stanford is 10-66-1 all-time against Arizona and went 0-3 against the Wildcats in last year's series. The Cardinal's most recent victory against Arizona came on May 10, 2013, when Stanford earned a 2-0 win.
