The 41-year head coach of the Cardinal faces off against former Cardinal and current Cal head coach David Esquer to close a long chapter of this rivalry. The three-game set is Saturday through Monday, and all three games can be seen on Pac-12 Networks.

» Winaker and Andrew Summerville each earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors on Thursday. Winaker owns a 3.65 GPA in management science and engineering, while Summerville is completing his undergrad degree in three years and starting his master's degree while maintaining a 3.87 GPA.

Back-2-Back
» Junior Quinn Brodey earned back-to-back Pac-12 Baseball Player of the Week honors on March 7 and March 14. Brodey was the first player to win the award in back-to-back weeks since Washington State's Brian Wolfe in 2014, and the first Stanford player to do so since Jon Schaeffer in 1997. 
» The week prior, Brodey was named Player of the Week, while roommate and junior reliever Colton Hock was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week. Brodey had walk offs in two straight games and the game-winning RBI in three consecutive games—all in 24 hours —to lead Stanford to a four-game series win over Texas. Both walk offs came with two outs. In that same 24-hour span, Hock went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 5.0 innings, including a win in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader and a save in the nightcap.

» Stanford was one of three teams with three players on the Golden Spikes Award preseason watch list (TCU, Florida)—junior Colton Hock, junior Quinn Brodey and sophomore Tristan Beck.

Last Time Out» Stanford won its third straight series, but did lose its 11-game winning streak. 
» On Friday, junior Colton Hock tied a school record with his 13th save of the season and freshman Daniel Bakst delivered a career-high three hits in a 7-5 victory. Stanford held leads of 3-0, 6-2 and 7-3, and held off Arizona State in the series opener in Phoenix.
» In the middle game, an 11-run lead catapulted the Cardinal to its 11th consecutive victory. Duke Kinamon was 5-for-5 with five RBI. Stanford built an 11-0 lead with three runs in the first, five in the second and three more in the fourth. ASU got within four, 12-8, late in the game, but Stanford held on to win 13-8.
» On Sunday, Stanford trailed 5-1 after the first, but tied the game at 5-5 in the second. The Sun Devils added three in third and then held off the Cardinal the rest of the way. Neither team scored after the fourth in a 9-6 defeat.
» On Tuesday, Hock broke the school record with his 14th save. Jack Klein broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the sixth, and Kinamon hit a three-run homer in the seventh.
