STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford announced Wednesday that it will play a nonconference football game in 2018 against UC Davis. The Cardinal will square off against the Aggies at Stanford Stadium on Sept. 15, 2018.
This will be the fourth game in the series, with Stanford holding a 2-1 advantage. The programs last met in 2014, with Stanford prevailing, 45-0.
Stanford's 2017 season begins Aug. 26 against Rice in Sydney, Australia, with its home opener slated for Sept. 23 against UCLA.
Stanford is coming off a 2016 campaign in which it won 10 games for the sixth time this decade. The season was capped off with a 25-23 win over North Carolina in the Sun Bowl, marking the fourth bowl victory for Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football David Shaw.
