Fourteen Named All-Academic

STANFORD, Calif. – Fourteen Stanford players were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic team, which ties the Cardinal with Oregon for honors in the 10-team conference, as announced by the MPSF.

The Cardinal has led or tied for the lead in MPSF All-Academic honors for three consecutive years.

Both IWLCA All-Region selections – Kelsey Murray and Madison O'Leary were honored, as well as all four All-MPSF selections (Elizabeth Cusick, Dillon Schoen, Murray and O'Leary).

In addition to her IWLCA and conference accolades, Murray, a psychology major, also compiled the team's highest cumulative GPA: 3.87. Players must be at least sophomores academically, play in at least 50 percent of the team's games, and have a cumulative GPA over 3.00 to be eligible.

Of those selected, Stanford had 11 players with GPA's over 3.50 through the winter quarter, including four over 3.70.

Stanford finished the year 12-6 after falling in the MPSF semifinals to No. 9 Colorado.
