STANFORD, Calif. – Junior reliever Colton Hock was named Second-Team All-America by Collegiate Baseball News on Thursday.
Hock leads the nation with a school record 16 saves this season. The Bloomsburg, Pa., native also leads No. 8 Stanford with a 1.94 ERA and a .211 opposing batting average. He is second on the team with six wins and 26 appearances, and has recorded four or more outs in 10 of his 16 saves this season.
Hock broke the Stanford single-season saves record originally set in 1987 by Steve Chitren and matched in 2000 by Jeff Bruksch. Hock's 25 career saves is one behind the program record, also held by Chitren.

Hock, who is on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List, was an Academic All-Pac-12 selection this season as well.
Stanford (40-14, 21-9 Pac-12) posted its best regular season since 2004 and will host the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2012. The Cardinal opens play Thursday night against Sacramento State at 6 p.m. on ESPN3.com.
