STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford will take on a challenging 17-game schedule in 2017, including four teams that appeared in last year's NCAA Tournament.
The Cardinal will open the season with two of its 11 road games, with the first game of the season being held at UConn on Aug. 25 against a Husky team that reached the NCAA semifinals last season.
Stanford will host six home games starting with a three-game series against Iowa, UMass and Harvard September 1-4 at Varsity Turf.
The Cardinal will begin the pursuit of its second consecutive America East Conference title, after claiming the 2016 championship in only its second year in the conference.
In addition, Stanford will see three of its games televised on Pac-12 Networks, and will add streaming into some of its home games as well.
Under head coach Tara Danielson the Cardinal has amassed a record of 110-38 (.743) in her seven years on The Farm and collected five NorPac titles along with its recent America East title. With Danielson at the helm, Stanford has made six appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
