ITA All-Academic Honors

STANFORD, Calif. – Eight members of the 2016-17 Stanford men's tennis team have been honored as ITA All-Academic Team honorees as announced by the organization Tuesday.

In addition, the team garnered an ITA All-Academic Team award for posting a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).

Jack Barber, Nikita Demir, Tom Fawcett, Michael Genender, Yale Goldberg, Sameer Kumar, Brandon Sutter and David Wilczynski were among those selected for the honor.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).

Boasting an overall team GPA of 3.52, Stanford also collected its 13th ITA All-Academic Team award, claiming the honor 13 of the 15 years since its inception in 2002.
