Bing Honored

STANFORD, Calif. – Kelsey Bing amassed two honors this week after being named the America East Defensive Player of the Week as well as being given an honorable mention by the NFHCA for her role in Stanford's 1-0 win over No. 24 Pacific.

The sophomore goalkeeper stopped all seven shots she faced and recorded her eighth career shutout in a win over the Tigers on Thursday. On the year, Bing has posted  a 0.97 goals against average, ranking her first in the conference and 10th in the NCAA.

The NFHCA honor is the first of Bing's career and America East honor her the second of the season with her first honor coming Aug. 29.

The No. 12 Cardinal will take to the road again this week as it sets to travel east for three games against conference opponents UMass Lowell, New Hampshire and Maine.
