STANFORD, Calif. – Corinne Zanolli has been named the America East Rookie of the Week for her standout play in a sweep of conference opponents this past week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
The freshman attacker was integral to the Cardinal offense over the weekend, matching a career-best two goals against UNH, including the game-winner in overtime. The rookie also wrapped up her weekend with a five-point effort with two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Maine.
On the week, Zanolli compiled 10 points off of four goals and two assists as No. 11 Stanford moved its win streak to seven.
The rookie leads the Cardinal in goals with seven as Stanford collects its fourth weekly honor of the year and Zanolli collects her second career honor.
The Cardinal will remain on the road this week as it sets to take on Ohio State this Saturday at a neutral site match-up. Game time is set for 12 p.m. PT in Davis, Calif. at UC Davis.
