STANFORD, Calif. - No. 11 Stanford will put its seven-game win streak on the line this weekend as it travels for a neutral-site game against Ohio State. The match-up against the Buckeyes is set for Saturday at 12 p.m. PT at UC Davis in Davis, Calif.
Last Time Out:
The Cardinal kept on its grind on the road last weekend, gritting out a back-and-fourth 4-3 win over UMass Lowell with Marissa Cicione's hat trick leading the way.

Next up was a thrilling double OT win for the Cardinal with Phoebe Crosthwaite returning to the line up last week for the first time this season and being the difference-maker with an assist to Corinne Zanolli for the game-winner.

On Tap - Ohio State:
The Buckeyes enter Saturday's contest with a 4-5 record, but don't let it fool you - OSU lost an OT game to No. 6 Michigan and a shootout to Michigan State last weekend.
Tara Danielson has never faced the Buckeyes in her tenure at Stanford, and the Cardinal hasn't seen OSU in 14 years with its last meeting coming in 2003 resulting in a 3-2 Cardinal win.
Bring Your Green Hat Snoop-A-Loop, We're Going Streaking!
Stanford has amassed an impressive seven-game win streak thus far - though Danielson's teams are no stranger to streaking. The Cardinal put together a nine-game win streak in 2011 before the 2014 team shattered the school record for consecutive wins with 12. While a daunting task to achieve with one of the hardest schedules in the NCAA, the 2017 Cardinal is looking to keep it going one game at a time.
Earning Hardware the Hard Way:
With the season five weeks in, the Cardinal has earned at least one individual award in four of them. Oh, and it took 10 days off from game competition as well for the fifth week. The list is as follows:
August 29 - Kelsey Bing - Defensive Player of the Week
September 6 – Corinne Zanolli - Rookie of the Week
September 19 – Kelsey Bing – Defensive Player of the Week
September 26 – Corinne Zanolli – Rookie of the Week

Youth Movement:
The Cardinal roster boasts a combination of both experienced upperclassmen and hungry freshmen and sophomore classes. In Stanford's nine games four freshmen have started with rookie and Max Preps top-10 recruit Corinne Zanolli leading the offense with seven goals and four assists for 10 points.
To Be the Best You Must Play the Best:
Danielson is notorious for having one of the hardest schedules in the NCAA - with this year being no different. Right out of the gate the Cardinal's first six opponents this season are all ranked in the top-25. The Cardinal's two losses have both come top-15 ranked teams including No. 1 UConn and No. 14 Northwestern. An updated RPI released this week has Stanford ranked sixth in the NCAA.
