STANFORD, Calif. – Senior midfielder Andi Sullivan has been called up to the United States Women's National Team, as announced Wednesday by head coach Jill Ellis.

One of 22 call-ups, Sullivan is the only current collegiate student-athlete in the team, and joins former Cardinal Jane Campbell, Kelley O'Hara and Christen Press. The team is scheduled to face South Korea on Oct. 19 in New Orleans, and on Oct. 22 in Cary, North Carolina.

It is the third call-up to the senior women's national team for Sullivan, whose first came on Oct. 6, 2016. Sullivan was named Player of the Match following her first senior cap, a 4-0 win against Switzerland on Oct. 19, 2016.

Four days later, Sullivan kept her place in the starting XI for a 5-1 win over Switzerland in Minneapolis, earning her first national team assist on a goal by Press in the 53rd minute. The Lorton, Virginia, native earned a second call up for matches against Romania on Nov. 10 and Nov. 13, starting in both contests – she registered her second assist on Morgan Brian's goal in the 25th minute on Nov. 10.

Sullivan, along with sophomore Tierna Davidson, was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy watch list in August, and is the reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year. A two-time first-team All-American, Sullivan was a MAC Hermann Trophy finalist in 2016 after being named a semifinalist in 2015.

On Sept. 7, Davidson earned her second call-up to the full national team, training with the side prior to matches against New Zealand on Sept. 15 and Sept. 19. Davidson's first call-up was in January when her, Jordan DiBiasi and former Cardinal Maddie Bauer were invited to train with the senior team following a camp with the U-23 squad.
