STANFORD, Calif. – Senior midfielder Andi Sullivan was selected as a finalist for the 2017 Senior CLASS Award, as announced Thursday by the organization.

The finalists were chosen by a selection committee from the list of 30 candidates announced in September. Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner – fans are encouraged to vote on the Senior CLASS Award website through Nov. 20. Fan votes will combine with media and Division I head coaches' votes to determine the winner, which will be announced during the 2017 College Cup in Orlando, Florida.

A two-time Pac-12 all-academic honorable mention, Sullivan is set to graduate following the 2017 season with a degree in symbolic systems. She is an active participant in soccer clinics for Female Footballers and the Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative, and has worked with the Cupertino and Hillsborough American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) programs.

On the field, Sullivan has starred for the Cardinal since her freshman season in 2014. The 2016 Pac-12 Player of the Year, Sullivan is a three-time All-Pac-12 first teamer, a two-time United Soccer Coaches first-team All-American and a three-time United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region selection.

A complete midfielder, Sullivan has made 78 appearances for the Cardinal, leading the team in goals (11) last season from a deep position. This season, Sullivan's six assists tie for third in the Pac-12, and she has been key to Stanford's 12-1-0 record.

Sullivan was named to the 2017 MAC Hermann Trophy watch list after being a finalist in 2016 and a semifinalist in 2015. On Wednesday, Sullivan received her third call-up to the United States Women's National Team after earning four caps as a junior in 2016.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must classify as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
