Love Strikes Again

STANFORD, Calif. – Junior running back Bryce Love was named Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight time, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Love posted a school-record 301-yard rushing performance against Arizona State, including scoring runs of 61, 43 and 59 yards. The 301 yards is the eighth-best single-game total in Pac-12 history.

He has 1,088 yards overall this season, the third player since 2004 to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in his team's first five games. Love is the season's first FBS 1,000-yard rusher.

With eight rushing touchdowns, Love ranks seventh nationally and second among Pac-12 players.

Love's FBS-leading average of 217.6 yards/game is 53 more than that of San Diego State's Rashaad Penny.

Love is averaging 11.1 yards per attempt and has had at least one touchdown run of 50 yards or longer in each game.

Love and USC's Reggie Bush are the only Pac-12 players ever with 250 or more rushing yards in consecutive games.

Love also was named Walter Camp Football Foundation Offensive Player of the Week and Rose Bowl Game Player of the Week.
