STANFORD, Calif. – Four home meets highlight the 2018 schedule for the Stanford women's gymnastics team, it was announced Tuesday.
The Cardinal begins the season by hosting the NorCal Classic on January 8, featuring Cal, Sacramento State, San Jose State and UC Davis at 6 p.m. PT. Stanford will also entertain Arizona State on January 20 at 2 p.m. PT, Cal on February 17 at 7:30 p.m. PT, and UCLA on March 11 at 3 p.m. PT.
All are part of an 11-meet regular-season schedule. Regional competition will be held April 7, followed by the NCAA Championships, April 20-21 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Four meets will be televised on Pac-12 Network. They include Stanford at Oregon State on January 27; Stanford at Arizona on February 11; Cal on February 17; and UCLA on March 3.
"We look forward to the upcoming season and are thrilled to compete for the Conference of Champions," said new Cardinal head coach Tabitha Yim. "The Pac-12 schedule provides our team with the opportunity to challenge ourselves against some of the top programs in the country as we grow, develop and prepare for the championship season."
Yim, a 14-time All-American at Stanford, the most in program history, took the reins in August after guiding Arizona the last two years. She inherited a talented squad led by senior Elizabeth Price, a six-time All-American, and welcomed seven accomplished freshmen.
