EARLY SEASON TRADITIONIt will be the third time in the past four seasons the Cardinal has hosted the Tritons, coached by Tara VanDerveer's younger sister Heidi, in an early-November exhibition. Stanford used a 20-0 second-quarter run to win last season 85-41. Brittany McPhee led the way with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting and nine rebounds in 21 minutes while Erica McCall chipped in 16 and Shannon Coffee added 14. In 2014 the Cardinal won 74-51 behind 18 points from Erica McCall. Prior to 2014, the VanDerveer sisters had only faced each other once, when Heidi was an assistant with the Dons in 2004.
