STANFORD, Calif. - Senior defensive lineman Harrison Phillips was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week and Lott IMPACT Player of the Week, while sophomore placekicker Jet Toner was recognized as a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week and Lou Groza Award semifinalist.

Phillips was also named a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award and Wuerffel Trophy, and junior running back Bryce Love was selected as a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award.

Phillips finished with a game-high 10 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and the game-winning forced fumble during Thursday's 15-14 victory at Oregon State. The Beavers were running out the clock with under three minutes to go, but Phillips forced a fumble and recovered it at the Oregon State 40-yard line with 2:30 remaining. Stanford scored the game-winning touchdown with 20 seconds remaining. Also, with less than a minute left in the first half, Phillips recovered a fumble at the Oregon State 18-yard line that led to a field goal in the eventual one-point win.

Toner matched a career-high with three made field goals (40, 33, 40) on Thursday. The Honolulu, Hawaii, native leads the team with 78 points this season, and ranks fourth in the nation with 15 made field goals. He also leads the Pac-12 in field goal percentage (.882) this season, and has made all 33 extra point attempts.

The Bednarik Award is presented every year to the most outstanding defensive player in the nation, while the Maxwell Award is given annually to the top collegiate football player in the country.

No. 18 Stanford (6-2, 5-1 Pac-12) heads to Pullman, Washington, on Saturday to take on No. 25 Washington State (7-2, 4-2 Pac-12). The game will be televised on FOX at 12:30 p.m. PT.
