STANFORD, Calif. – Andrea Lee made opponents see red in October.
The sophomore from Hermosa Beach, California won two tournaments, and finished third or higher in all four starts for Stanford, shooting a combined 20-under par in nine rounds. On Thursday, she was named Pac-12 Women's Golfer of the Month, the conference announced.
Lee, the 2017 PING/WGCA Freshman of the Year and a WGCA First Team All-American, tied for third at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M in Minnesota (74-69-69, 212, -4), tied for first at the Stanford Intercollegiate in Pebble Beach (69-71-67, 207, -6), won the Nanea Pac-12 Preview in Hawaii (69-68, 137, -9), and tied for second Monday at the East Lake Cup in Atlanta (71, -1).
Lee fired seven sub-par rounds, six rounds in the 60s, and averaged 69.66. The final-round 5-under 68 at the par-73 Nanea Golf Club in Hawaii matched her lowest score versus par at Stanford.
