Stanford had four of the top six finishers in the 500 free. Shoults hit the wall with an NCAA 'A' qualifying time of 4:11.34, while teammate Liam Egan was the next to touch at 4:14.03. Johannes Calloni placed fifth at 4:16.60 and True Sweetser was sixth with a time of 4:16.82.
Devine's career-best finish of 1:41.99 ranks No. 3 all-time at Stanford in the 200 individual medley. The only other two Cardinal to break 1:42 in the event are NCAA record holder David Nolan (1:39.38) in 2015 and Austin Staab (1:41.57) in 2011.
Alex Liang (1:45.21) was fifth in the event, and Ben Ho was eighth (1:46.67). Brennan Pastore won the B final at 1:44.99, Jack Walsh (1:46.57) was 13th overall and Will Macmillan (1:46.04) was 17th. All six were NCAA B qualifying marks.
Sam Perry was seventh in the 50 free with a finish of 19.68, and Alberto Mestre was seventh in the B final at 19.97.
In the relays, Stanford earned a pair of third-place finishes. The combo of Perry, Andrew Liang, Brad Zdroik and Mestre earned an NCAA 'B' qualifying time of 1:18.07 in the 200 free relay, while Ryan Dudzinski, Matt Anderson, Andrew Liang and Perry finished the 400 medley in 3:07.65.
Stanford resumes competition in Austin on Friday with prelims at 8 a.m. PT, and finals beginning at 4 p.m. PT.
