STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford baseball's home opener has been moved up to Thursday at 7 p.m. against Cal Poly. Admission is free.

This is a rescheduled and relocated game. The Cardinal and Mustangs were originally scheduled to meet on Monday in San Luis Obispo, but the game was postponed due to rain.

Stanford (1-2) rallied from six runs down to win in 11 innings at No. 8 Cal State Fullerton on Sunday. The 7-6 triumph was the first this year for the Cardinal and head coach Mark Marquess, who is in his 41st and final season and just 14 wins away from becoming the fourth head coach in NCAA Division I history with 1,600 career victories.

Stanford is slated for a three-game set at Sunken Diamond this Friday-Sunday against Kansas. Follow Stanford baseball on twitter and Instagram (stanfordbsb), and on Facebook for the latest updates and schedule changes.
