A Stanford softball student-athlete has written a weekly blog in each of the past four seasons to provide fans a behind-the-scenes perspective of the team. This year, sophomore Lauren Frost is taking over the Softblog to chronicle the team's adventures throughout the season. Her 10th entry this year is below.
***We meet again Stanford softball fans!
With another series in the books we find the season coming to a close with only two weekends left to play and my Softblog days slowly coming to an end.
This weekend was a hot one but fans (and puppies) enjoyed soaking up the sun as we hosted my personal favorite weekend of the season, Bark in the Park!
The stadium was flooded with paws and floppy ears and I don't think anyone could've felt more in paradise.

I even got to puppy sit for a few hours postgame and my-oh-my, would I love to have a puppy of my own (Hint hint, Dad).
Another highlight of the weekend was hosting Autograph Day for our fans which is always an incredibly rewarding experience for us as players and another one of my favorite events.
All we needed were for a few puppies to go through the line and I think I would've been too happy to function.
A few days after our weekend series many of my teammates and I found ourselves attending the first ever Games Faces speaking event hosted by Cardinal RHED.
For an hour and a half we had the pleasure of listening to incredible Stanford athletes – both current and retired – speak about some of the hardships they've had to face during their athletic career and show us all that we're not alone in our struggles.
HUGE shoutout to Cardinal RHED for hosting such an incredibly moving event!
This upcoming weekend marks our last trip of the season as we head north to Washington to take on the Huskies in a three-game series. Though it'll be a bitter-sweet trip given it's our last of the season, Seattle has always been a fun time for Cardinal softball and I can't wait for my first chance to experience it with teammates!
Here's to a great weekend!
See you all again soon!
Unit next time,
Frosty
