Cardinal Ranked No. 13

STANFORD, Calif. - For the 52nd consecutive week in NFHCA rankings, Stanford has remained in the top-20 as the Cardinal sets to open the 2017 season ranked No. 13 as announced by the organization Tuesday. 

Nine of the Cardinal's 17 regular-season games, including the first six will come against opponents currently ranked in the NFHCA top-20 poll. 

Stanford's challenging 17-game schedule will start Friday against No. 4 UConn followed by No. 14 Northwestern on Saturday. Both will be played in Storrs, Conn. 

The Cardinal won its first America East Conference championship in 2016 - only two years in as a member of the conference, and are picked to win the western division again as it has the last three years.
