LAS VEGAS - Former Cardinal standout Akash Modi was named to the 2018 U.S. Senior National Team, highlighting No. 3 Stanford's appearance in the Winter Cup.
Modi will represent the United States through the 2018 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Boston on Aug. 16-19.
Modi finished third in the all-around with a 165.900 combined score, Robert Neff placed seventh at 163.750 and Grant Breckenridge took 11th at 161.150.
Parallel bars proved to be a strong event for both Modi (28.050, 2nd) and Breckenridge (27.950, 4th). Meanwhile, Breckenridge was the runner-up on the high bar at 27.650, followed by Neff in third place with a 27.550.
Stanford returns to action on Saturday, March 3, hosting the International Collegiate Challenge in Burnham Pavilion.
