SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Stanford will compete in the Northwestern Duals, Saturday and Sunday at the Castellan Family Fencing Center on the campus of Notre Dame.
Co-hosted by Notre Dame and Northwestern, other participating schools include Pennsylvania, UC San Diego, Princeton, Fairleigh Dickinson, Ohio State, Air Force, Incarnate Word, Temple (W) and Cal Tech (W).
The Cardinal opened the 2018 season by hosting the eight-team Western Invitational. The No. 10 men's squad posted a 6-0 mark to claim the title for the third consecutive year, while the women's team went 4-3 and finished third.
Top performers for the men were Royce Wang in sabre (12-0), Justin Kang in foil (8-2) and Sean Strong in epee (8-3), while the women were led by Camille Dawson in epee (6-0), Carly Weber-Levine in sabre (14-3) and Madeline Liao in foil (9-2).
